Mercedes-Benz passenger cars recorded its best ever sales figures in the U.S. for the month of March 2001, and record sales globally.

BMW lost its lead among the German luxury carmakers to Mercedes in the U.S. market in 1999.

No doubt I'll be reprimanded for continuing to tell the truth...
