The Sunday St. Louis Post Dispatch had an ad for an '00 M5, red with tan interior, 19000 miles, for $59500. The car was also listed on eBay (see link below). The auction has ended, so perhaps the car sold.

Prices are definitely headed south. I doubt a BMW dealer would let a certified M5 go for that however.
