The SMG II may not be coming to the M5, but not for lack of torque handling ability, since the SMG is simply the same 6 speed that's already in there, just with a computer running the clutch and shifter instead of the driver.

If anything, the computer can be programmed to avoid certain types of clutch abuse and might make it last longer than what some of the more aggressive human drivers manage... :)
