Ben, How do you find your stage 3 suspension? Does the ride quality of the M5 suffer?

I love the Dinan suspension. It is arguably the best modification you can make to an M5 right now. Ride quality in normal driving is almost indistinguishable from stock, but as soon as you turn the wheel the car just TURNS. There's maybe half as much body lean as on the stock suspension, and turn-in and bump compliance & recovery are much MUCH better.

Regarding the clutch, my stock clutch starting slipping at 13,000 miles and BMW replaced it under warranty. I understand they're working on an updated clutch, and whern my current one fails (presumably at 26,000 miles :) I'll pick up the new part.

FWIW: I'd rank Dinan's M5 mods in the following order considering cost:

Stage 3 suspension -- must have, you'll be amazed.
Exhaust -- drops 30 lbs, sounds wonderful, adds a few HP.
Wheels -- going from 245 to 275 fronts adds a ton of braking grip and reduces understeer.
CAI -- looks great, but expensive for the power it adds.
3.45 gears, AL flywheel: don't know (yet).

Cheers,
Ben
