Not sure if you knew this (Steve Dinan should) but for all cars with DSC
manufactured after September 00, in order to fully disable all electronic traction and
stability systems, you need to hold the DSC button down for more than two
seconds.

I actually *didn't* know that, but my car was manufactured 2/00. I don't know whether the fact that the software was updated after 9/00 makes any difference. I tried holding down my DSC button several seconds this afternoon, and the light just stayed on. I don't have an easy way of verifying whether the ignition retard is disabled without going to the dyno or the strip...
