But anyway. You could try the BMWplanet forums -- see the link below. They're a lot better organised than this place (which I note, is still powered by a donkeys-old Perl script from Matt's Script Archive). There's also a lot less hot air.

As for "provincial jocks", there are a lot of one-track opinions anywhere you go, especially if you're in a forum dedicated to a particular make or model. That said, the mbnz.org E55 board has always been a nice 'n relaxed kinda place, even if it is now filling up with ex-Beemer drivers (no, really). Mind you, if I were a 5-series owner having just clapped eyes on the replacement model, I'd be looking to go upmarket too :)
