Hopefully it is only the cylinder head that needs repair/replacement. That way it will only cost you big $$$$$. If a valve damaged a piston then the whole engine will need a rebuild/replacement. The will cost you more $$$$$$$$$$. BMW's are notorious for doing piston damage when you over rev their engines. No way the repair will be covered by BMW since the car computer will tell them the actual RPM when you blew the engine.

So, so sorry about your ordeal.
