I purchased the car from a dealer and probably paid more than if I was looking for a private sale in a different city. Cars in Dallas seem to sell pretty high compared with other cities.

However, I did do quite a bit of research. Dealers were asking between $69.9 and $72.9 for cars. With a lot of haggling you should be able to find one for about $2K-$3K off the asking price.

A relative rip off compared to a new car, but the car is pretty difficult to find.

If you go private, you can certainly pick one of cheaper. Probably with 25K miles your looking in the low $60's.
