Gas/Brake Pedal Spacing, Help! (archive)

I find the space between the brake and gas pedals to be very different than in my M coupe. When I heel/toe the M coupe the ball of my foot is on the brake, just a little to the right, and I can roll over and hit the gas. On the M5 when I try to heel/toe, I miss the gas pedal and my foot rolls between the two pedals. Anybody know of a good add-on gas pedal that widens the width of the gas pedal? Why is the gas pedal so small? Is it because of the design of the DBW controls on the gas pedal?

Any ideas, help? Sure would like to heel/toe the M5 like I can the M coupe!!
