FYI...

I have been having difficulties performing the heel/toe downshift in my 2001 540i 6-speed as compared to my M coupe.
Comparing the two, the 540's brake and gas pedal are about 1" wider apart than the M coupe. So braking the 540 with the
ball of my right foot on the right side of the brake pedal, still was not fair enough over to be able to roll my foot over to blip the gas during the down shift. Today I mounted onto the top of the factory gas pedal an OE pedal sold by BMP that is called their "Fast Track" pedal, part # 121517. If any of you have a BMP catalog, I mounted it just about how it is shown. I just made sure that the holes I drilled in the factory pedal did not disturb the structure of the pedal and the hardware cleared everything.
