Seriously, It sounds like you indeed got a bad tank of gas. In fact there may be something other than water in it as your engine would have seized with water. Contact BMW first thing Monday morning and have them come get it and diagnoze the problem. If you still have your receipt from the gas station be sure to hold on to it. You'll need it if the problem is related to bad gas.
Otherwise you may have simply run into a computer glitch that will be simply rectified with a quick update to your computer. We'll hope for the later.
