your dinan installer should have been aware of this, as they need to test the cars on a one-by-one basis after the stage II/III install.

this is a known problem with the e39's and your BMW dealer should do the "fender roll" under warranty, as well as replace the damaged tire(s) in the back.

I installed the Dinan stage III suspension and although I love the way it transforms the car to a more neutral feel & quicker turn-in I just became aware that the rear tires are rubbing the fender to the extent that it is a problem. It usually only happens in big dips in the road at speed or under acceleration exiting a turn with dip. I had always heard the occasional rub and didn't pay it much heed but I just checked it out closely and see it is really cutting up the tires to the point where if it gets much worse they will be unsafe at the speeds this car can go.
It also is kind of unrolling the fender lip where the fender rolls under the wheel arch. This then makes the tire cutting worse. I was able to roll the fender lip back in with the rubber handle of a hammer but I'm sure the process will just start over. I'll be returning the car to the shop that did the install for a proper fix.

Has anyone else had the same problem? Or does anyone else with the stage III suspension just heard the occasional rub? If so check your tires!
