I spoke with someone at BMWNA and the SMG II will definitely not be offered on the E39 (current version) M5. He would not speculate regarding the E60, but given the push that will take place regarding the M3 (BMW expects 85% of all M3s to have this option) it seems very likely for the next model. However, this model will not debut until 2004...
