Thanks ///M. I appreciate the info. I haven't had much to say on this board, as I haven't had any problems to speak of with the M5, and I've just been making myself busy by enjoying driving it. I do, however, sometimes have a great deal to say on the other boards.
I'm familiar with the Pilot Sports on the E38, and like them, but I was wondering how they would perform on the M5.

Trying all the tires if fine, but I don't want to waste my time trying every single possibility, when I can nail the choices down to a few from hearing the worthy opinions of others.

Thanks.

Dunlops are softer but suck in rain. Yokos are very soft but wear ou very fast. Since they all exhibit different handling characteristics, just simply try them all. Then choose what you desire. After all, you just spent $$$$$ on a unique car...experiment/educate yourself and dial in the gem that everyone drools over. Don't take others' advice, learn to voice your own...the only way to aquire knowledge.
