I just received my first real service on my 7/2000 build, and they used 10w 60. The service people at Crevier told me that there have been some problems with 5w 30 in the post 3/2000 M5s, and so BMW put out a bulletin telling their dealers to use 10w 60 in all E39 M5s. Has anyone seen the bulletin?
