Ok, after many MANY life changes, I'm seriously thinking about coming back into the fold. My belated M5 got sold after an unfortunate accident (would you believe at 3 MPH? Bumpers don't do shit when you run the left fender into a concrete pillar... this is what I got for working 18 hour days and getting NO sleep. I hate driving wrecked cars so away it went.) and I traded into a CLK-55 which the MB dealer happened to have on the lot. Wicked fast, worst build quality of any car I've ever owned. ANYONE who says Benz is built better is FULL of it.

The CLK subsequently went to my fiancee (color me whipped, but I'm whipped and HAPPY) and I got an X5 because it was the only thing on the lot with a V8 that wasn't a 7 series and I needed a car in a BIG hurry.

I thought I would be happy with the X5 but after having two cars with big HUGE stonking power reserves... "only" 282 horsepower is just anemic. So I'm seriously thinking about just getting what I loved most again, an M5. One thing's for sure. It will NOT be silver. Why do you care? Dunno, but I used to be active here and disappeared, so for those that give a damn, this is where I've been. :D
