HELP! M5 acting strange and smells...(m) (archive)

I think I smoked the clutch on my dad's 2001 M5. The car jerks whenever I release (and accelerate) the clutch. This happens in all gears, but the car still drives. When parked in the garage the car smells like burnt plastic. Any help? Cost of possible repairs? What repairs i might need? Any other possible causes? Please help me. Thanks in advance.
