Opinion on low miles vs enjoying car daily (archive)

I have 18k miles on my '00 M5 - I chatted with my sales guy yesterday and he says that if I go on at this rate my M5 is going to drop big time on resale. He suggested a commuter car for every day use and just use the M on weekends etc. - My personal take is that I enjoy the car daily and take a hit when I sell...kinda the opinion that I bought the car to use and not to sell....
What do you other M5 owners think/do?
