Can you imagine being a CHP officer and driving an M5 every day? I wonder if I apply for a job, could I request the M5?

If you go through past issues of BMW Magazine you'll see where BMW donated an M5 to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. (At or about the time the deal to build the factory in Spartanberg.)
Never heard of California, though. I really have to doubt the bit about the CHP officer allowing those incredible speeds, as these guys are proud of their reputation for being anal sphincter's on the subject of speed control on the California Highway(s).
