I am ready to order a 2002 530i and would like to get some feedback on the sports package. I don't care much about the steering wheel nor the sports seats, but are the 17" wheels, Z-rated tires, and the stiffer suspension worth it? I testdrove several 2001 nonsports 530i and was pretty impressive by the stock setup's performance on dialing in and pulling out of tight curves. Also, I read some articles saying that although Z-rated tires provide better grip, but they can start slipping in a hurry(I guess it means with better grip you can go faster, but if the tires slip, you are already travelling at high speed and high torque, hence there is less time to react). Any thoughts?
