On the highway and around town the Valentine one wins hands down. Only thing it misses on is Laser detection. Since the front bumper is the location most likely to get aimed at, it's less likely to catch the laser signal before the K-40. Add to the K-40's diffuser action and it plays a very important role in areas where lasers are used on a frequent basis. The K-40 otherwise is horrible about false alarms or no alarm with radar signals when the Valentine one will pick things up miles ahead. If I had it to do over again, I would skip the K-40 and just go with a seperate laser diffuser with the Valentine One. I believe Bell and Escort now make models comparable in performance to the V-1.
