I probably wouldn't be hauling anything. Just wondering if the fold-downs are worth it (for practical use or resale later). Any experience with noise/creaking like I heard on the E39 board? Much difference in comfort? (I know they are different than fixed seats).

(Selling my E36 M3 and will be looking for M5).

Rgds,
Norm

The fold down rear seats are defenatelly different. I personally hate them. I used to have my 2000 540i with regular seats and it was awsome. Never made any dounds, plus the seats themselves were thicker. Now i have a 2001 540i with fold downs and they quiet frankly suck. They make so much noise, they are thinner then regular seats, and it is just something noone need because the ski sack is useless anyway. The 540i Sport does not drive in the snow.......
