1) You can obviously afford it, or you wouldn't be considering it, right?

2) Do you deserve the toy? Have you been good? Does your wife get anything?

3) When all else fails, bring up the fact that it's "The perfect combination of what I really want honey, with what our family needs. I have always wanted a ferarri, and the M5 will fulfill that want while at the same time providing sensible transportation for the family." And "Plus, Bill across the street with the bitchy wife karen, who that said your bisque tasted terrible at the 4th of july party last year, will be incredibly jealous."
