your point about being a basket case definitely applies to me as well. i've had good luck buying used cars in great shape as a way to get over a bit of the paranoia of having a new, very expensive car.

a friend just picked up his 02 s2000 and absolutely loves the car....in two weeks has 1700 miles on it!!
