Go to bmwm5.com, check thread "167 mph on Hughway 167".
seems like its just for show 99% of time and there wouldn't be a rats arse of a difference if you were driving a 320i instead.

where exactly do you get to open her up? On the brooklyn bridge bumper to bumper traffic?

Seems like a collosal waste of power and fuel.
