All roads aren't jammed all the time. Then there's also an activity known as "passing" that's far safer in a car that accelerates. Some of us even enjoy our cars in off-road environments. A few weeks ago I enjoyed several hours of track time on Laguna Seca in my stock (well the chip was reprogrammed by Dinan)M5.
