Randy:

I am fairly new at this, but you can ask whatever you wish - the question really is, what'll someone pay. Location plays seems to play a huge role, as do the obvious car-specific factors.

Given what I have seen out there, I would not pay more than low 60s for your car. Maybe I'm delusional, but that seems to be the going rate right now for a careful and patient shopper, unless you have a long time horizon, or you're in California.

Best of luck, and let me/us know where you are and what you decide.

I have seen some people asking for close to high 60K for 2000 M5 for me that seems high..that is why I was asking what is reasonable..I will be asking low to mid 60Ks...I paid sticker for my car(I was on the list for a year)..so I won't lose too much by selling it at that price range..I live in NJ. I love the car, however a very good business opt has presented itself and I might have to sell the car to raise extra money. I will know by the middle of next week if I will need to sell it or not..I own the car outright .

the reason that I was asking is because I see used M5s being sold for what I consider unreasonable prices..but I guess if some one is willing to pay than it's not unreasonable...the same holds true for buying the car new...I would never pay more than sticker for the car(it makes me feel like I got ripped off) but it seems a lot of people don't mind.

I guess that is why I will never get to by that 360 ferrari..because I refuse to get ripped off.
