The owners manual says 5w-60 synthetic. You can top up with any synthetic that is close. Only use synthetic and then get an oil and filter change sooner than you would.


Actually, the BMW M 5 manual calls for 5W-30 synthetic and they use Castrol (private labeled for BMW)
