I have a 2001 m5 which still has problems with the radio/nav display.

about 20% of the time the radio station/frequency display turns into a flat line although everything else seems to work.

also, about 80% of the time the "select" switch doesnt do anything at all.

they have replaced the trunk nav unit and the tape player (door wouldnt close either), and upgraded the software a couple times (last time a month or so ago), but still it doesnt work right.

anyone else have this problem or know what is causing it/how to fix?
