Silverstone Exterior / Silverstone & Black Interior w / Wood trim. Like Marcelo said: You're not going to be jumping into the car with dirty lubed overalls?
Audio can be upgraded in other ways - and PDC- maybe you can live without? I understand your "resale" concerns - but, you need to buy/invest/drop the cash into something YOU will love, and feel good about
driving ALOT!
Comfort is the key, and regrets are the killer.
I for one would love to have another M5er in Silverstone around here- but just make sure you can live / sleep well at night without the features you've raised concerns about.
Good Luck

Originally wanted blk interior. Car I will be looking at has silverstone. Any comments on silverstone? Does it hold up to dirt and wear as well as I think blk might? On the plus side, probably not as hot in summer ..

Unfortunately, my 540i/6 did not have shades or PDC so I don't really know if I would like those options or not. I didn't have rear fold-down seats either and I think I want them (car I will look at has 'em). I had the DSP premium stereo in the 540i - not totally awful. I'm guessing that would be the standard M5 stereo (anyone?). So I really need to decide. I know I wished I had gotten the Nav in my 540i but that won't be an issue with the M5.

Wow, what a description. If you were the sales guy, I'd be handing you a check now!! Ha Ha!! You are right. I already had the 540 and really wished I had more (not more options necessarily - well, except the Nav for sure - but more of the little 'horsies'!! I better check the V1 site and see if it's time to upgrade my V1 yet.
OT: That's if I don't lose internet service!! I just heard Excite-at-Home is having big problems and therefore so will AT&T - my provider.
Rgds,
