Actually its the s8 not the s6 that is compared to the m5 - the s6 is 30% cheaper than the m5 and are completely different beasts (wagon vs sedan auto vs stick). The s8 is a great car but i would still choose the m5 if for no other reason than the 6 speed (and there are other reasons) :)
