You're going to be very, very happy. I have a 2001 M3 and a 2002 M5. It's no contest! The M3 is good for around town and road racing, but the M5 gives you both luxury and performance. It gives up a little in handling to the shorter wheelbase of the M3, but at 100mph the M5 is still pulling hard while the M3 is gasping for air. Enjoy!
