Maybe it would help other experienced owners if you could be more specific (e.g. % of 'what')? I think new M5's have many bugs worked out (e.g. clutch burn: which some attribute more to driving style, oil consumption: supposed helped with pistion/ring changes). Some 'gremlins' may still exist (e.g. electronic anomalies like some have reported with NAV, screen, radio, etc). For the most part I think owners are happy. If you are looking for lower probability of anomalies and somewhat higher reliability, then Lexus or Infinity are possibilities - that is if you are willing to sacrifice a little in the "soul" department.
