Yesterday I installed Dunlop M-2 Winter Sport tires on my '02 M-5. I drove up to a nearby mountain pass, ski resort, Steven's Pass, Washington. The car handled good on the compact snow/ice. I felt very comfortable. Today, I'm driving on some dry some wet pavement, 45 degrees F., and the car feels fine. I'm not trying to push it too far, but I've tested them under medium to high cornering forces and they feel safe. I got them from tire rack, mounted on H(?) type wheels, shipped to my home for aroung $1300. They're only 17X235X35, so the car looks a little under tired, but I'll still be driving when others fear to tread. Ferraris one parks, BMWs one drives, right?
