Some of us non-M5 owners just happen to think the mirrors are aesthetically pleasing and think the e39 looks better with them . They are available for about $1,200 with mirrors and if you want them to fold up electronically you need to also buy the window/mirror switch module (part number 61316909903 - $147.24).
