I am curious as to how the 6 speeds are used in the M5? I spoke to a guy who saw my M6 and he told me his brotherinlaw had a newer M5 that he drove. He told me that he never used first gear and just started the car moving in second. (Can this be? It's like driving a 67 Chevy pickup with a four speed manual transmission--are you M5 owners running around with "granny gears." Enlighten me.Thanks.
decide. My E36M3 was begging for a 6th gear on the highway. I mean it was comfortable spinning but it makes for a comfortable quiet ride in the M5 cruising in 6th. And the beast still has plenty of get up & go if you punch it in 6th.
Rdgs,
Norm
