- when you disconnect the battery. most other information is stored in a EEPROM or FLASH, sort of non-volatile memory.

date, time, gps status and so on are stored in RAM. the GPS status is self-learning, and the engine computer is not affected as well. the only thing you will have to do is to adjust the date/time. even the radio stations remain in memory.
