Kidding of course, but for me, I am banking on sad but true fact that the new 5 will have alot of the new 7 in it from the exterior. That is to say, if you like it fine, but to me BMW made a big mistake. The 5 right now has a nice GROWL look to it, which is enhanced by the M5 wider wheels, the grill and the mirrors. The new 5 is going to take some time to grow comfortable to me, if at all. Add to that the fact that I would not buy something in its first year of production, for lots of reasons and the new M5 is way out there calendar wise.

For me the buy is the last month or so of current E39 production and enjoy a classic that has ALL, (OK most), of the bugs worked out.

I wouldn't buy a used M5 unless it came from a known source.
