I couldn't tell you which one I would choose. Personally, I would trade the 740 for the M5 (almost the same amount of room, but much faster and better handling), and get an M3 to along with it.

I use my M5 to carry people in luxury. For me, it is the perfect luxury car. About the only thing not luxury in it is the manual transmission, and I think I prefer the manual to auto. The M5 may just be the most perfect car built at any price.

On the other hand, the M3 is just plain fast. I commute with my M3 Cab (decked out with a whole bunch of AC Schnitzer stuff). It does have room in the back, and it looks really hot.

I love both cars. I'd hate to ahve to choose or trade!
