BMW doesn't that I'm aware of and if they do they've never used it on my cars. Losing the cumulative mileage twice in the OBC on my '95 M3 irritated me the most. I personally wouldn't worry about what the dealer says but that's me.

I understand. Not sure about '95, but my '98 M3 was easier to check battery fluid - no need to disconnect battery to do it. Just a little trick to maneuver on right side in trunk but certainly doable. I checked fluid about 3-4x a year.
