Plain and simple, I have never had anyone complain of lack of comfort. It may be true, but noone has complained and when my wife had the Land Rover, (that I can afford), and I ran short of deck planks, I could fit 12 5/4" * 8' boards in the E39 because I had the seats.
No squeaks here.
