After much deliberation, I have resolved myself to go with the Fold Down option.

The deciding factor was versatility: not just having the possibility of extending my trunk space, but more importantly, avoiding that ONE SITUATION where I'm caught between a rock and a hard place and NEED to transport a large, bulky item which otherwise would have to go into the BACK SEAT!

Also, having the Flat Back of the fold downs makes sitting three people more convenient and comfortable than the two more Concaved seat types of the Fixed Version (although there is greater lateral support in this instance).

I wonder if Bee is going to be calling Pacific BMW to find out what p/n's he needs to get to retrofit his car.
