Since it's a 2000 model I guess the software is different. I agree if I had to press a button to use the screen at all every time I started the car when I'm not using the GPS, I'd be frustrated too.

Ok, so I spend $85K on a new car, its awesome, but there are two things that just take away from the BMW experience:
1) "Accept" on the GPS every time I get in the car whether I need the GPS or want the computer! Completely unACCEPTABLE"
2) Cup holders...you got to be kidding me, if you are going to do something, do it right, not cheap or halfway.

Sorry I just had to vent...everytime I get into my car I have to push a button instead of just driving
