I upgraded to version 3-1/30 (which gives you the lower scale distances in yards, as opposed to my prior version which gave it in feet).
Then just a couple weeks ago I upgraded to what some dealers refer to as version 18. On my Set screen it shows as version 3-1/40 and when installing it, the installation screen refers to itself as version 4.0
Anway, on my original 3-1/14 version, I had to hit the Accept only when accessing NAV, not computer, DSP, etc.
After I upgraded to 3-1/30, I forgot what the functionality was because I only had that version for 1 day. But with my current 3-1/40 I NEVER get asked for the "Accept", not even when my car has been off for the whole night.
There's supposed to be a new version 18.2 coming out, but I'm afraid to upgrade to it because I'd rather keep things as they are right now :)
Ok, so I spend $85K on a new car, its awesome, but there are two things that just take away from the BMW experience:
1) "Accept" on the GPS every time I get in the car whether I need the GPS or want the computer! Completely unACCEPTABLE"
2) Cup holders...you got to be kidding me, if you are going to do something, do it right, not cheap or halfway.
Sorry I just had to vent...everytime I get into my car I have to push a button instead of just driving
