We cut the stock pipe back about 3" then welded the tips on. This car has a muffler on each side with one tip unlike the 540.

twin stock pipes both on the left side like a 540?

I never looked at the 740 that closely. Nice that there is an exhaust tip on each side. Very nice job(s)!
