New to the board and trying to make up my mind on a current M5 or '03 E60 540i with an automatic six speed. Here is what I have come up with so far. Would love some feedback!

With the new E60 coming out at the end of the year it doesn't seem likely that they will produce an '03 as some have discussed. Likely we will have to wait a couple of years to see the new M5 that is rumored to have 500hp maybe a V10 and likely with SMGII or III?" (Can't wait that long)

What's the above svcenario likely to do to the current M5 prices for the rest of the year and best guess when the newer more potent one arrives.

Any thoughts?

which is Prestige BMW located next to BMWNA, I was told that the current E39 body 5 Series will be made & available for the year 2003. The current style M5 car will be still sold during the beginning quarter of 2003. This came straight from the sales manager's mouth.
