I traded a 2000 740iL for a 2002 M5. Of course they are very different cars and impossible to really compare. Both are great. Although the E 38 7 is a great highway machine, actually the M5 is even more pleasureable on the interstate...stable as a rock and eager to step out even in 6th gear, and just a relaxing on a 4 hour jaunt and more entertaining. You do realize that the E 38 was due for a handling upgrade, although it was as good as it gets for a 4400lb in its day. jastrois
I have been thinking about this, and I am not sure whether I should trade in my 740 for M5. The payment difference would be about $30k since my 7 is 98 model. Or I could keep my 7 series and get an used NSX or any sports car around that price range?

Any advice will be appreciated.
