What do you think of the new C32 AMG? From the reviews I have read it seems very impressive. Most reviews compare it with the the E46 M3. The only negatives I have read are that throttle response is not as immediate as the M3, turn in is not as sharp, there is not as much driver feed back, involvement and of course its a slush box. Other than that it seems that its up there in performance and handling. Is it a cheaper alternative to a M5? Anyone has any first real drivers' impressions? Does it handle as good as a 5? I've driven a c32amg and have owned a 2001 m3 and 2002 m5. We needed an automatic with the plan of trading the m3 for the c32amg. Everything you stated about the car is true. It's only strength is the accelaration at highway speeds. When we got back into the m3 after giving the c32amg an extensive test drive, my wife and I looked at each other with the same exact thought -the c32 paled in comparison to the m3. The throttle response and handling were mediocre at best. Trying to compare this car to an m5 is totally absurd. It's like trying to compare pee wee football to the NFL.
