All options, colors, etc. were specified. So I guess what your saying is they wait one month in case I change my mind about color etc. If so then it should go into production by the end of next week. Thanks

I meant that I think it takes a month (or by a certain day in the month) to schedule paint/options etc. for the following month. btw, they do paint first, early in the month, then they issue a VIN. Once the VIN show up in your "BMW Owner's Circle" webpage (you should set that up) the painting is done I believe - can't change it anyway. until then, the web site says "scheduled for production" or something like that, without a VIN number. I just went through this whole thing, tracking it all the way, from my "order" last Aug. for a 530i, to "modify" in Sept., to Oct. production/ship, arrive in mid-Nov. again, the 530i is made on the same line (except for the drivetrain - the engines and gearboxes at least are probably coming from different places - the M5 S62 engine is handbuilt in Munich I think in the Motorsport factory, don't know exactly where the 530i M54 is made - I think another factory in Munich) as the M5...so the process should be the same I guess. Don't know about "BMW Individual" spec cars...
