hehe, thanks for the comments. I was just pulling your chain a little on the "subpar car" stuff. I am going to borrow a friend's helmet.

Take care,

I understand that you can turn a 540i into something that performs like an M5

*cough* like? My car performs nothing like an M5. You have bigger balls in the low end (which I admit is more usable), and I have bigger balls in the high end. Stop making it sound like my car's performance is subpar! My dyno shows otherwise.

seriously - I apologise for making it sound like your car's performance is subpar...in fact, I bet that it's quicker since the Dinan s/c and other stuff give it more hp, and like you said, weighs less. I have a friend who beats M5s on the big tracks with a Dinan wagon that wieghs the same as an M5, even w/o the s/c but with all the other Dinan stuff. It comes down to his driving - I bet he could be me driving a more powerfull car too! My "track" comment point I was trying to make (albiet clumsily) was that brakes make a difference too in driving more than strait lines, which you of course pointed out that you can put even better brakes on via Brembo...I like customizing cars too, just that major stuff like a s/c scares me, and I always worry about stressing an automatic - my project car is an auto and I'm worried about jacking up the hp/torque too much 'cause of the automatic. If my ZF in that car is made for more, that actually make me feel liberated to play with the engine - thanks for that!! OK?

oh yeah - I wear my Beemer motorcycle helmet in my car for track stuff - at least the Car Club let's me. Maybe you can borrow one from a biker?

please explain the part of your "PS" regarding. what your waiting for and dirt roads in carlsbad?

2)
That was a jab at Beewang for pussing out on several challenges from both myself and an E55 owner (Mug) to take his M5 to the 1/4 mile track for a drag race. Bauer blitz's "significant other, other" is too good for the likes of carlsbad drag racing, which requires a "short" drive over a very non-dusty dirt road. If anyone in SoCal wants to take it to the track, I'm doing carlsbad as soon as I can beg borrow or steal a helmet.
